Add a Feedback Widget to Webflow

Pintelly adds a visual feedback button, analytics and optional session replay to a Webflow site with one script tag. It is a common way for agencies to collect client feedback on a Webflow build, on the staging domain and after launch.

Before you start, add the site as a project in Pintelly and copy its installation snippet from Project Settings. It looks like this:

<script
  type="module"
  src="https://pintelly.com/cdn/feedback-module.es.js"
  data-backend="https://pintelly.com"
  crossorigin="anonymous"
></script>

Add the script site-wide

  1. Open the site in Webflow and go to Site settings → Custom code.
  2. Paste the Pintelly snippet into Head code.
  3. Click Save changes, then Publish the site.

Webflow runs custom code only on the published site, not in the Designer. Site-wide custom code requires a paid site plan or a workspace plan that includes it.

Staging and production

A Pintelly project belongs to one domain. If clients review the build on the webflow.io staging domain, add that domain as its own project and install its snippet, then switch to the custom domain's project at launch.

Only on some pages

To load the widget on specific pages only, leave the site-wide setting empty and paste the snippet into each page's Page settings → Custom code → Inside <head> tag instead.

Check that it works

  1. Open the live site in a private window, so no cache or signed-in state hides the change.
  2. The feedback button should appear in the corner of the page. Click it, pin a comment on any element and send it.
  3. Open the project in Pintelly. The feedback item should be there with its screenshot, and the visit should show up under Analytics within a minute.

If the button doesn't appear, open the browser console. A Content Security Policy error means your site must allow https://pintelly.com in script-src and connect-src. If there is no error, a caching or script-optimization layer may still be serving the old page: clear it and reload.

Next: choose widget visibility, appearance and consent handling in Project Settings. See Consent if you use a cookie banner.
