Free accessibility checker
Scan a page against the WCAG 2.2 Level A checklist Turkey's ministry uses. We use the page in a real browser and answer the 126 questions with evidence.
What this accessibility check actually does
Turkey's Presidential Circular 2025/10 requires public bodies, municipalities, universities, banks, private hospitals, large telecom operators and e-commerce sites to make their websites accessible, measured with the Ministry of Family and Social Services' checklist based on WCAG 2.2 Level A.
We open the page in a real browser, run axe-core's level-A rules, measure tables, forms, media and links, and then use the page the way a tester would: walk it end to end with Tab, open menus with the keyboard, try Escape on pop-ups, press single-key shortcuts, submit an empty form and look for the error message (no request leaves the browser), and measure what still moves or flashes after five seconds. The results map onto the checklist's 126 questions. Only questions that need a person's judgement — do the captions match the speech? — are marked Needs review, with the evidence the scan found. This is not an official audit.
What it covers
Text alternatives
Images without alt text, buttons and links without a name, decorative images marked as such.
Structure
Heading order, list and table markup, form labels, radio and checkbox groups inside a fieldset.
Keyboard and interaction
A full Tab walk, keyboard traps, menus opened by keyboard, pop-ups closed with Escape, single-key shortcuts and error messages on an empty form submit.
Page, language, ARIA
Page title, lang attribute, invalid ARIA, automatic refresh and moving text.
How it works
Paste a public URL
Every request to local or private network addresses is blocked.
Scanned in a real browser
Chromium loads the page, then axe-core and a keyboard walk run. Five free checks per site per day.
A question-by-question report
Each success criterion lists the official question, the automated answer and the failing element's selector and HTML as evidence.
Frequently asked questions
Is this report enough for the Accessibility Logo?+
No. The ministry grants the logo after its own monitoring. This report speeds up your review: it lists the failures automation can prove, with evidence, and separates what someone has to check by hand.
What does the score mean?+
The share of applicable automated level-A axe-core rules with no violations. It is not a conformance percentage; questions that need review do not count towards it.
Which questions are still “Needs review”?+
Only those whose answer depends on meaning a person has to judge: whether captions match the speech, information shown only in a video's picture, whether a single-key shortcut can be turned off. Each one shows the elements the scan found as evidence.
Does it scan the whole site?+
No, only the page you enter. The checklist is evaluated per page; test each important page template.
Does it test mobile apps?+
No. The checklist covers mobile apps too, but this tool scans web pages only.
