Turn a feedback item into a GitHub issue, keep comments and status in sync, and line commits up against console errors on a timeline.
Available on the Feedback Module, Team and Agency plans, or as a paid add-on — not on Solo.
A bug report is only useful once it's on the backlog. The Pintelly GitHub integration links a project to a repository you pick during install, then lets you open a GitHub issue from any feedback item in one click — the page URL, screenshot and reporter context travel with it.
Once an item is linked, comments and status changes stay in sync in both directions, and synced commits are placed on the same timeline as your console error data, so you can see which deploy a spike of errors started after.
What it does
Feedback → GitHub issue
Create an issue from a feedback item without retyping anything; the item keeps a link to the issue and its number.
Two-way comment sync
Comments added in Pintelly appear on the issue, and issue comments sync back to the feedback item.
Status stays aligned
Completing a feedback item closes its issue; reopening it reopens the issue.
Commits on the error timeline
Synced commit history sits alongside console errors, so a regression can be traced to the change that shipped just before it.
How it works
Install the GitHub App
From Settings → Integrations → GitHub, install the Pintelly GitHub App and choose which repositories it can see — a GitHub App only ever gets the repos you select.
Link a repository to a project
Pick which repository belongs to which Pintelly project. Linking a project that's already linked replaces its repository.
Work the item, sync stays automatic
Open an issue from an item when it's ready for the backlog; from then on comments and status transitions mirror across without any extra step.
Setup
- 1.Open Settings → Integrations → GitHub and click Connect.
- 2.Install the Pintelly GitHub App into your account or organization and select the repositories to expose.
- 3.Choose a repository for each project under "Link a repository".
- 4.Optionally enable issue import to pull existing issues for a linked project.
- 5.If the connection ever shows "Reconnect needed", click Reconnect — background token refresh keeps it healthy the rest of the time.
Frequently asked questions
Does Pintelly get write access to all my repositories?+
No. It's a GitHub App, so it only has access to the repositories you explicitly select when installing, and only the permissions the app declares.
What happens to a linked issue if I complete the feedback item?+
Completing the item closes the GitHub issue; moving it back out of completed reopens the issue.
Why did my connection ask me to reconnect?+
GitHub user tokens expire and are refreshed automatically in the background. If a refresh permanently fails, the integration page shows a Reconnect button that re-authorizes without touching your repository selection.
Can I connect more than one repository?+
Yes — one repository per project, across as many projects as you have.
